Honouring the history of one of Melbourne’s most iconic heritage sites, the redevelopment of 189 Toorak Road brings together past and present in a vibrant mixed-use destination at the heart of South Yarra’s retail district.
A striking lattice structure rises above the restored 19th-century façade, with floor-to-ceiling glass bays flooding the interiors with natural light and framing sweeping city views. A series of cascading terraces extend the workplace outdoors, creating expansive landscaped areas that blend wellness, nature, and productivity.
The integrated design and engineering of the façade and structure reflect a holistic approach to reducing the carbon impact of construction, delivering a sustainable model for urban renewal and growth. At street level, more than 2,500 square metres of retail and wellness space across four floors activate the precinct, complemented by premium office tenancies above that contribute to the cultural resurgence of the neighbourhood.
