Honouring the storied past of this iconic paper mill precinct.
Boiler House, the iconic 1920s paper mill within the YarraBend precinct, is being thoughtfully reimagined as a landmark residential address. The original façade will be carefully retained and historic red brick chimney reconstructed, keeping a strong connection to the building’s industrial past within one of the world’s most liveable communities.
Key heritage features will be restored including the red brick exterior, conical chimney, and original tank and basin, interplaying with new architectural elements that respond to the character of the existing structure.
Inside, exposed concrete ceilings, timber & stainless-steel detailing and fluted glass continue the industrial scheme in a refined and contemporary way. Showcasing Ironside’s strength in complex heritage revitalisation, Boiler House honours the past while creating homes designed for modern living.
